Nashville Design Week

Design Thinking for Assistive Technology
by: DIVE (Design as an Immersive Vanderbilt Experience)

10:00 am - 3:00 pm - West Nashville

Human-centered design teaches highly transferable problem-solving skills, with the ultimate goal of advancing the human condition. In this interactive and hands-on DIVE boot camp, we’ll explore the five steps of human-centered design – empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test – with a lens toward assistive technologies. Registration and Bagels start at 9:30am with the design thinking boot camp beginning at 10am. Lunch will be provided. The Wond’ry is the epicenter for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Vanderbilt University. We have something for everyone, from speaker series and workshops to makerspaces, interactive art exhibits and unique corporate partnerships. The Wond’ry provides Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff--as well as the greater Nashville area--opportunities to gain real-world experience in creating new processes, building new technologies, and forming fresh insights. We help turn abstract ideas into realities that make a difference in people’s lives. Free to attend! Photography credit: Daniel Dubois / Copyright Vanderbilt University
